kickstartEach week I read a lot of posts, try out a lot of products and come up with lots of tips. So each Monday I’m going to share the best ones out.  Here’s some to get started with.

1.5 Steps for curating good content – Blog Post

Author: Pawan Deshpande, CEO of Hivewire, Guest post on Hubspot

Summary:  A very good post from Pawan about how to find, track and use great content across the web for your blog.  Well worth a read.

2. How to get 40,310 fans in 4 days – Blog Post

Author: Guest post on Allfacebook

Summary: A very interesting article on tips for getting the maximum number of fans from your activity on your facebook page. For example, using a welcome (landing page) on your facebook fan page increases conversion to fans significantly.

3. In social media engagement has it’s rewards – Blog Post

Author: Brian Solis on Briansolis.com

Summary: If you’re wondering if social media engagement gets you sales, have a look at the stats Brian has published.

4.  Text Expander – Application

Text expander is a cool time saving tool that Chris Brogan mentioned on a really cool blog post.  If you find that you type in some of the same data several times a day why don’t you assign a special character or series of characters to it and get text expander to automatically expand it out.  Pretty Cool.

5. Increasing your blog traffic - Blog Post

Author: Antti Kokkonen Zemalf.com

Summary – A great post (and a great blog) from Antti about increasing your traffic on your blog.  Well worth a read.

6. Tip – Monitoring what’s popular

Use Delicious (a social book marketing tool) and search for your topic of interest.  See what other people are indexing and what is popular.  A good source for blog post ideas!

Have you found anything interesting this week you’d like to share?

Thanks for the shout out and link, I appreciate it. Good links and tips all-in-all. I like to use Flickr too and search for pics that are shareable. Places like sxc.hu is great for free stock photos, but sometimes it’s great to get “real photos” in.
