lateclock Yes, I’m a day late but never late than never!!  It was a bank holiday here yesterday!

1.  In case you missed it in the comments last week,  Richie Bowden (@rbconsulting) gave a great tip to use a website called Aremysitesup that allows you to monitor your online presence and make sure your website doesn’t go down.

2. A very interesting partnership between Amazon and Facebook happened during the week.  It was sent on to me by Piaras MacDonnell.   If you link your Amazon account with Facebook you will start receiving purchase suggestions based on your Facebook interests, gift recommendations for friends with upcoming birthdays and you can also browse items popular among your social network.

3.  Irish Startup Storyful launched the Alpha version of their news service.  Is this the future of social news?  There’s lots of news on the web from a whole range of sources including the likes of twitter, blogs etc.  Storyful plan on taking a collection of this content, compiling and processing it to produce professional content.  I had a look at the Alpha and it’s very interesting and I’ll be following it closely.

4. How Intel manages it’s facebook presence.  Interesting article from social media examiner about how a large company such as Intel manages their facebook presence.

5. Very interesting article from Hubspot – 8 steps for building an inbound marketing campaign
