Home » Digital Marketing » Integrating your map as part of google adword advertising

bodytimetherapiesGoogle adword advertising allows you to advertise your business to appear either to the top of the Google search listing or to the the right.  This can be a very effective way of promoting your business.

But you may have noticed now that some advertisements has a link which allows you to view the map of the business which appears within the advertisement.  Have you wondered how is this setup?

Google recently added integration with Google places to Google Adwords.  Google Places is where you add your business so it starts appearing as part of the local listings of places within particular areas.  This is becoming increasingly important and it’s another way of getting onto page 1 without paying.  If you are running Google adwords it’s very useful to integrate your account within this.

When you are setting up a page you’ll see an option called Ad extensions and in this area you’ll see the following screen:

Google-places-integration-google-adwords

So all you have to do is link the two accounts and a link to your google map account will start appearing when the advertisement is displayed as a sponsored link at the top of the search page.  When people click on the link you take over nearly half of the front page.  So make sure to register with Google Maps and if you’re using Google adwords integrate with this also.

Have you set this up?
