Social Applications for Social Commerce

In a recent survey commissioned by Legal and General, it was found out of 2,000 social media users that 38% of them shared their holiday plans on Facebook and Twitter and over 1/3 of people post details so say when they are going away.

The report goes on to discuss how burgulars are using social media sites to get valuable information about their prospective clients(!) and it points out some suggestions on how to be more careful online.

So the burgular no longer has to drive around the streets checking out a place before robbing it, they just go on line to see if you’re at home!

Here’s a link to the Digital Criminal report.

Have a read and let us know your opinion.

Very good advice indeed. Thanks for sharing. I often wonder about sharing date of birth info for fear of identity theft too.
